I know I’ve been pretty quiet lately. A few of you have emailed me to make sure I haven’t died. It’s been a struggle the last month and a half (family illness, ridiculous pregnancy, and starting school), but I’m still alive and working as much as I can. Just not much extra strength or time to go around. I’m hoping that this all-day sickness will go away soon, then I can drop the medication I’m on that knocks me out. Then I’ll have more energy to spare.
Here is my latest custom order (which took about 2 weeks longer to finish than I estimated). It’s a larger arrangement of Lily of the Valley. There are 130 of the full white flowers, each of which needed to be laced, 25 of the tiny buds (which made 15 individual stems), plus 20 big leaves that needed to be laced 3 times each. My fingers got so sore while working on this. They were actually swollen, so I had to take a few days break every once and a while. But, despite the pain, I’m very happy with how it turned out.
If any of you are interested in learning how to make these flowers, I do have a pattern available in my shop.
