Make a Poinsettia plant out of seed beads and wire using the “French Beading” method. The Poinsettia Pattern PDF is 13 pages long and contains 53 high quality images along with written instructions. The pattern contains instructions for both the standard and Filigree style Poinsettias shown in the pictures above. The Large Poinsettia is 7 inches wide. The small Poinsettia is 5 1/2 inches wide.

Beads for Large Poinsettia:
– 2.5 hanks (100 grams) size 11/0 Bract (petal) color seed beads
– 3 hanks (120 grams) size 11/0 Leaf color seed beads
– 3 grams size 11/0 yellow seed beads
– 1 gram size 11/0 red seed beads
– 3 grams size 11/0 light green seed beads
Beads for Small Poinsettia:
– 2 hanks (80 grams) size 11/0 Bract color seed beads
– 2 hanks (80 grams) size 11/0 Leaf color seed beads
– 3 grams size 11/0 yellow seed beads
– 1 gram size 11/0 red seed beads
– 3 grams size 11/0 light green seed beads
Wire:
– 24 gauge (.51 mm) Bract (petal) colored copper wire
– 30 gauge (.25 mm) Bract (Petal) colored copper wire
– 30 gauge (.25 mm) Leaf colored copper wire
– 24 gauge (.51 mm) Leaf colored copper wire
– 28 gauge (.32 mm) gold colored copper wire
– 28 gauge (.32 mm) light green colored copper wire
– 13x 16 gauge (1.29 mm) florist stem wires
Other:
– Floral tape in Bract (petal) color
– Floral tape in leaf color
Materials for Filigree Poinsettias:
If your filigree bracts (petals) will be a different color than the rest of the bracts, you will need approximately 20 grams of the filigree bract color for the Large Poinsettia, and 15 grams for the Small Poinsettia filigree bracts.
Also purchase a matching 24g (.5 mm) copper core wire if the filigree bracts are a different color.
All of the rest of the materials are the same.
